As an umbrella organization, the SNU-UNS unites numerous naturist clubs in Switzerland and promotes the exchange and values of naturism in a respectful coexistence.
Experiencing and Spreading the Spirit of Naturism
The Swiss Naturists Union SNU is the umbrella organization of the Swiss naturist clubs. We promote naturism and the clubs and grounds in Switzerland. The SNU is affiliated with the International Naturist Federation INF and represents Switzerland on an international level. You can find more information about the INF here.
There are 15 naturist clubs spread throughout Switzerland, 7 of which own their own grounds.

What is naturism?
Naturism is a way of life. It requires a healthy attitude towards oneself and communal nudity and combines self-respect with respect for others and the environment. Naturism is the carefree way to spend your leisure time and holidays in Switzerland.
The clubs and naturist sites in Switzerland offer a wide range of leisure and holiday activities, which are open to both families and individuals in an environment of harmony and a connection with nature.

WHY SHOULD I SHOW MYSELF NAKED IN FRONT OF OTHER PEOPLE?
I find it pleasant to be able to move freely among like-minded people. My appearance is not important. It is important and right to have a level playing field.
DOES NATURISM HAVE A HARMFUL EFFECT ON CHILDREN?
No, children feel most comfortable when they can be themselves, like everyone else, until puberty. Puberty must be treated with respect so that the transition to adulthood is successful. A natural upbringing in the family is a good prerequisite!
SHAME IS A NATURAL FEELING
Everyone has their own natural sense of shame and experiences it in the same way when practicing naturism as they do in their everyday lives at home, at school, in clubs, etc.
BEING NAKED AND SEXUALITY
Sexuality starts in the head, so don’t study too much, but live naked in a natural way at all ages. Nakedness can lead you and your partner to new feelings that you can discover in your private space. Good feelings are not only for couples.
WHAT IF I HAVE MY PERIOD?
Please enjoy naturism as usual and use the usual invisible hygiene products. If you are unsure, just ask your naturist friends. Simple tips will help you enjoy nakedness even during your period.
WHAT IF A MAN GETS AN ERECTION?
It is quite natural for men who only know nakedness from the bedroom. If an erection occurs in naturism, distract yourself or sunbathe your back.
BEING NAKED IN THE COLD?
As long as the weather allows, we live naked on our grounds. Everyone has their own limits as to when they put on clothes to avoid getting cold.
NUDIST 101 HOW DO I RECOGNIZE A NUDIST?
We always sit naked on our own towels. We introduce ourselves by our first names. Respect and tolerance are a given. We change discreetly. No photos, videos, etc. are taken for outside use. Sun protection is important for all body parts.
WHAT IF I KNOW SOMEONE ON THE GROUNDS?
Remember that you are meeting a like-minded person and that you are both happy if this experience remains your shared “secret.” Discretion is our most important rule in nudism!

The UNS is a member of the International Naturist Federation INF and maintains good relations with the world at large. Join our community and benefit from exclusive vacation experiences.
Membership in Swiss SNU-UNS Associations
There are no direct members of the SNU-UNS, all members are organized in an association. Membership in a Swiss association offers an active way to be part of the naturist family, both nationally and internationally. As a member of a Swiss SNU-UNS association, you will receive an ID card that allows access to all naturist facilities worldwide. The benefits of membership are numerous:
- Guarantee of quality and respect among naturists
- Openness and honesty in all age groups
- Friendship as an individual and with other families
- healthy relaxation among like-minded people
- Discretion regarding origin and name is paramount
- Opportunity to participate in all naturist activities
- In some naturist centers, reduced prices for holiday stays
- Special activities of the SNU-UNS member associations
The umbrella organization (SNU-UNS) prefers that you become a member of a Swiss association.

Foreign Holiday Cards without Membership
Alternatively, SNU issues holiday cards, which are renewable annually. These holiday cards are only valid abroad and do not grant entry to a naturist resort in Switzerland or to events organized by SNU or INF. The cards are issued personally each year and cost CHF 50 per year.
If you prefer a foreign holiday card, request an application form. It will then be sent to you by email.
The SNU-UNS is a member of the International Naturist Federation and represents Swiss interests at its congresses.
INF-FNI: A worldwide naturist family
The International Naturist Federation is the only organization that represents naturism, nudism and non-sexual nude recreation worldwide.
In many countries, there are national naturist associations that bring together clubs, resorts and individual members in their countries. By being members of the INF-FNI, these associations offer their members the opportunity to not only be members in their own country, but to be part of a much larger global community – a worldwide naturist family.
